And by “walk,” I mean a series of tug-o-wars and a battle of willpower through some woods.

I wish. We’re working on her confidence. She’s a doggo-teenager [uses dramatic air quotes] so she is insane, overstimulated, underchallenged, rebellious, and unconfident. Much like many teenagers.

She has such a sinister look in that pic.
I’m surprised at the lack of drool marks on the truck! The passenger side of Crusty is just caked with dried muck.

Guess I should hit the coin wash a bit more eh? (Seriously, windex and steel wool to get the slime off of glass!)
She doesn’t appear to be much of a drooler.

She isn’t much of a drooler, you’re right. In my case, I have to take reasonable care of my pickup because it’s 37 years old and every imperfection adds up quick. My wife creased my once perfect dash last month...

I get it. I haven’t given up on Crusty’s interior. My landlord never followed through on re-graveling my driveway/street. I’ve given up on the exterior for now.

I’ve been working hard at getting our dog to be a better walker. She’s a little too smart for her own good. She do the respond to command for a treat thing for a hot minute, but then stops giving a shit. But she’s been doing better on walks. We even had one last week where I let her choose the route. She didn’t pull at all; the leash was slack the whole time. But then...
The next night, she got all worked up over a lady and her little dog walking across the street from us. While trying to get her to chill, she then spotted two cats. She loves cats. She thinks all cats are her friends. She probably thinks she’s a cat. Anyway, she spots these two cats and takes off. Had she been on the sidewalk, I would have been able to hold her. She was on grass. Her traction control kicked in and she was off! I could barely keep myself from being pulled over.
For a while several years ago, I worked for a super fancy pet sitting/dog walking company. One client had a giant Rottweiler and a giant Doberman. GIANT. I was the only employee who could walk them as they were insanely strong.
When our dog took off after those two cats, she was pulling more than those two giant dogs ever did (and they were unruly, too). Fun.
I feel your pain.
